Black and Red Windows 7 Theme by Dratheus Black and Red Windows 7 Theme by Dratheus
Shameless plug! Check out my Bastion Rainmeter Skin/Theme! :D [link]

Anyway....

So I decided to not only upload the Rainmeter skins, but also everything you need to make a theme like I currently have on my computer! :D How cool am I? :P

What comes in this pack:

A few different clocks. (2nd Gig is the one in the preview.)

A cool animation. (Circle thing in the top middle on that circle.)

Top and bottom bars, for visual pleasure only.

Disk Dock (The dock in the center.)

Hard Drive C and D monitors.

An app launcher.

Wi-fi status.

Network status. (up/down speed)

Power monitor. (For desktop users, it just looks cool. XD)

Processes Running.

Scan. (That thin red line scrolls and "scans" your desktop. Visual purpose only.)

Shutdown menu. (Shutdown, lock, logoff, restart, etc)

Fan monitor. (Has a system option, which is the one in the preview image and also the only one I edited. I upload the "only fan" option as well.)

System monitor. (RAM, CPU, Temp)

Weather app.

Winamp circles.

Cursors

Icons (both for the Disk Dock, and for desktop)

Wallpaper for desktop, logon screen, and a logon pic.

***

Now for some notes.

First off, that Disk Dock. You can change the paths and everything, just head into the .ini and get busy. I use it in conjunction with a Rocketdock dock and an Objectdock dock. (Yes I know I can have two Objectdocks instead, but hush.) One on top, one on the bottom, and the Disk Dock in the middle.

The icons. I may not, probably don't, have all the ones you're looking for. I simply uploaded the ones I edited. Change them at your desire. Both PNGs and ico files are included.

The launcher (right side in the middle) can be set up to launch different things of course, just go into the .ini and redirect it.

The sounds are just for my current theme, if you don't like them don't use them. If you want to use them for something else, go for it.

The fan monitor and system skins need Speedfan to work, don't worry, I'll link with the other required stuff.

Weather app needs some work unless you want the weather for my area. I'll provide a link for info on that as well.

The wallpaper and logon screen are both 1920x1080. If you want to resize, go for it! :D

EDIT: I recommend not having any icons on your desktop. Makes it a lot prettier. :P

***

WHAT YOU WILL NEED!

Rainmeter. It runs all of the skin stuff. Grab it here: [link]

Speedfan. Used to show your temp and fan speed. [link]

Help for the weather app can be found here: [link]

***

NOTE! I DID NOT MAKE ANY OF THIS! I ONLY EDITED WHAT OTHER PEOPLE ALREADY PUT FORWARD! IF YOU SEE SOMETHING YOU MADE AND WANT CREDIT, LET ME KNOW SO I CAN GIVE YOU IT IMMEDIATELY!!

Thanks for downloading! :) Love the original creators, they're cooler than I am. ._.

You just need to download the .rar file and place it in a folder in your Rainmeter folder! (Which should be in My Documents>Rainmeter>Skins) After that, it should be able to be selected in Rainmeter!

Windows 8.1 here, skins don't show up on the screen, and although i can enable them one by one, they all appear on the top left corner so i have to place each one on it's own, any idea how to enable them all at once on their proper place?

I suspect an issue with the skin being made for Windows 7, and being used on Windows 8(.1). But I'm sure that can be fixed. I'm not sure how, but I'll look into it and get back to you as soon as I can! (Though please do keep in mind I work 45 hours a week and have other commitments as well!)

If you don't here from me by the middle of this coming weekend sometime, give me a little nudge! :)

You just need to extract the folders from the rar and put the Rainmeter (so NOT the icon, mouse, or sound packs, for example) into your Rainmeter skins folder. Then it will show up when you restart Rainmeter! :) Hope this helps!

To install, you just need to move the proper folders (anything relating to the Rainmeter parts) to your Rainmeter folder in My Documents. (Create a new folder for the skin) Everything should then show up in Rainmeter next time you start it! (Or after refreshing all, possibly.)

Having the folders with wallpapers, sounds, cursors, etc won't /hurt/ anything, but they'll also clutter it up a bit!

Hope this helps!! :D

The .rar file has all the folders you need to place in a Rainmeter Skin Folder. You just need to download Rainmeter and place them in the proper spot! (Should be My Documents> Rainmeter> *name you choose for theme here*) Hope this helps! :D

Sadly I don't think I can be much assistance, as I didn't make that particular skin myself. :( From giving it a quick once over, I think reinstalling Winamp/Foobar to the "regular" programs folder would fix it, but I'm not sure.

Sorry I can't be more help. :/

I believe I have everything linked to shortcuts for each command (shutdown, restart, etc) in a folder with the skin. However I may have either not done that, or they may have been misplaced!

What you can do to fix this is find out where those commands are located (or make a shortcut to use them) and link the buttons in the skin to their appropriate actions. Finding out where the command/.exe's are located and/or how to link stuff in your skin is fairly simply, and Google is your friend. :P (Really, it's pretty easy stuff for this. Otherwise I wouldn't be telling you to Google it. XD)

This skin looks perfect with my metro 2033 background, but I have a question. The shutdown/lock/hibernate, etc. don't really do anything when you click them, do you know how to fix this? I have W7.

is there a way to hide the original taskbar completely? as in, if I move my mouse all the way down, it doesn't pop up? also, the app launcher doesn't actually change when I edit the .ini file. neither does the disc dock.

There is! There's a program out there that does this, though I forget its name. DX A bit of Googling, and I'm sure you'll find it! Alternatively, you can use Object Dock, if that's more your style. It's....Well it's a dock program, basically. You can set it to only pop up when your mouse gets ___ close to the edge of the screen, and it has a feature which removes the task bar. This is what I use, and I really enjoy it! (You can have the dock on any side of the screen you choose.)

As for the Disk Dock, just make sure you're in the right .ini file, and keep looking REALLY HARD. It's set up is very confusing, I know. I actually have trouble finding things on it as well, but it's there!

As for the app launcher, you need to go into "Applications.txt" and change the path names from there, not in the .ini file. Hope that helps! :)

Clicking the "Edit" button SHOULD take you to the Applications.txt where you can edit the app path. Otherwise you can find its folder manually. If you think you messed something up, you could always redownload (or re-extract) the rar file, and just replace the app launcher folder so it's a clean install.

I think that may be where Rainmeter puts them by default, if you don't use the skin normally. You should just be able to drag them to wherever you want, and they'll load there next time!

Just install Rainmeter, and go to your Rainmeter folder (usually in your My Documents folder) and go to skins. Extract the Red Black folder to the Skins folder. Then it's installed! Things like cursors, wallpapers, sounds, etc don't install this way.

Ah nevermind - figured that out. However, now I'm *really* having trouble figuring out how to configure the Launcher.ini to suit my desktop. How do I get anything to work on that?

If you mean setting the launcher for the programs you want, you can just click on the "Edit" button and set the appropriate program paths!

If you mean the central disk dock, the process should be somewhat similar, but far more complicated. I recommend just scrolling through the ini files until you find some program paths, or whatever seems relevant. That dock was set up rather poorly, and I can never actually FIND anything within the ini files for it, heheh.

I'm slowly figuring out haha. Been at this one for a while now though - I'm trying to get the Net Status to work but I don't have either the entire "Circuitous" directory (for example, in: #SKINSPATH#\Circuitous\preview.png) nor the variables.inc file (for example, in: @include=#ROOTCONFIGPATH#Variables.inc). Are some componenets missing?

Another thing I realized was that you had \Mass Effect 2\ as part of some directories. I had to remove all of those to get a few other pieces working :P.
